Animals, animals, animals
Kruger National Park is one of the best places for a safari. You will find no mass tourism. Here you can find a lot of space for the animals.
Kruger National Park ist the biggest wildlife reserve in South Africa. It begins at the Crocodile-River in the south and ends at the Limpopo on the border to Simbabwe. From the north to the south there are 350 kilometers. The whole area is 20,000 square kilometers large. The park is one of the largest in Africa. It was founded in 1898 and it’s never crowded here. In the park are living 147 species of animals, 507 species of birds and 114 different reptiles.
For me most impressive was to see a white lion in the wild. It is very rare to see one. You even have to have an experienced guide to find lions in general. In contrast you will see a lot of elephants, giraffes and zebras everywhere in the park. Unfortunately I couldn’t see a rhino. These animals are very shy. The best time to watch the wildlife is in the morning. It is still pretty cold and sometimes dusty when the sun is rising. It’s a very special atmosphere.
